Apple Cider Margarita
The temperatures are finally supposed to drop tonight, so I thought why not welcome the crisp fall air and the start of the weekend right, with an Apple Cider Margarita! This margarita is the perfect balance of spicy and sweet.
What You’ll Need.
- Tequila
- Apple Cider
- Sour Mix
- Salt
- Limes
- Chili Lime Spice
- Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Ice
- Shaker
- Rocks Glass
In a cocktail shaker, mix: 1-2 ounces sour mix, 1/2 cup apple cider, 1 tablespoon chili lime spice, 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice, and silver tequila (I do 3 ounces but adjust for personal taste). Shake the cocktail vigorously to create a froth.
For the spices, you can use any spices similar to the ones I used. I used Wegman’s brand chili lime and McCormick pumpkin pie. Trader Joe’s makes bottled versions of both of these spices and I use those a lot too! There are so many brands and variations of chili and pumpkin spices, but at the end of the day they are all the same thing! You can also make ‘pumpkin pie spice’ from scratch. To make a small serving mix: 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons ground ginger, 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, 1 teaspoon ground allspice, and 1 teaspoon ground cloves.
Rim the rocks glass with the lime and twist glass in salt. I used Jose Cuervo Margarita Salt this time (It is my absolute favorite and I was finally able to get my hands on it again!), but a rim with Himalayan pink salt and the pumpkin pie spice mixed together is so good too!
Fill glass with ice and pour shaker contents. Garnish with a lime pinwheel.
Apple Cider Margarita with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Dailys Sour Mix, Real Ziegler’s Apple Cider, McCormick s Pumpkin Pie Spice and Wegman’s Chili Lime Seasoning. These Double Old Fashioned Glasses from Crate and Barrel are the best!!
