Hello Blog World!

After years of stalking countless bloggers, I have decided to follow my heart and start my own blog! Everyday I scroll Instagram feeds and think to myself, “This could be me!” There is no time like a world pandemic to get started, am I right?

I have loved fashion and been googly eyed for the girls strutting down the runways, especially at New York Fashion Week, literally my whole life. When you are born in a fashion capital, fashion just flows through your veins! My style has evolved from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, all throughout my adolescent years, with a splash of Lizzie McGuire and Hannah Montana in between. You can tell I am a ’90s baby! I love to learn new things about the fashion world everyday. I take inspiration from history; designers: Chanel, Balenciaga, Givenchy; icons: Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, Blake Lively, Meghan Markle, Nicole and Sofia Richie; and the influencers I look up to of course! That is just to name a few of the strong women I casually stalk for fashion and lifestyle inspirations. I hope one day I can follow suit to these fabulous ladies and be that inspiration for you!

There are so many categories for personal style. Grunge, chic, bohemian, preppy, gothic, sporty, rocker, artsy, sophisticated. vintage and sexy are all ways to put a label on someones physical description and choice of clothing. Fashion can be described by the decades, like the ’90s, as well. There are so many fashion “boxes” to encapsulate an individual into, and with the art of fashion design dating back centuries and endlessly evolving and recycling, how can one pick just one box to fit themselves in?! For me, fashion is more than a description of your appearance and being. It is art; it is a mood. In my personal style evolution, I could check off most of these categories at one point or another, and it continues to change day to day. Some days I want to look classic and sophisticated like Audrey and Meghan, other days I want to rock fringe and be bohemian chic like Nicole. Personal style is defining what works best for you: fit, colors, prints and incorporating those into your wardrobe. Ask any of my girlfriends and they can tell you majority of my wardrobe consists of animal print and lots of black! Figure out what you love and use those favorites as staples in your closet. Build your wardrobe around those staples you obsess over. None of us are Cinderella. (Even though I like to pretend I am a lot!) There is no perfect fit in fashion. We are all unique and so are each of our own styles!
