Honey Bacon Sprouts
What You’ll Need.
- Brussel Sprouts
- 5 Strips of Bacon
- Salt & Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon of Honey
- Goat or Feta Cheese Crumbles
1. Slice stems off brussel sprouts, then cut sprouts in half. Wash them thoroughly in a strainer.
2. Cook 5 strips of bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Remove from pan and set on a paper towel to cool.
3. Add brussel sprouts to the frying pan with the bacon grease. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook on medium high heat until they are a little browned. Once they begin to brown, add in 1 tablespoon of honey and keep cooking until they caramelize.
4. Cut your cooled bacon into bite size pieces and toss into the pan with your sprouts. Mix everything together. Add crumbled goat or feta cheese on top. Enjoy as a nice snack or pair with pasta for dinner!

I made something like this a few nights ago because we had leftover bacon (unheard of)! Whoever told us as kids that brussels sprouts were gross just didn’t know how to cook them! I haven’t ever added honey–will have to try that.
